Shortly after we beat this game my family got a cute little Russian Blue kitten. My mother and I couldn't come up with a proper name for it. We settled on "Rodriguez", a Shout-Out to the troll because "anything else would be too hard to remember!"

The effect of the Blackrock in Ultima Underworld 2 isn't as foolproof as it may seem.
All you have to do is visit one of the eight worlds via the Blackrock Gem, select the high-level spell that you want to cast (it must be a targeted spell!), activate it and return to the spot in Britannia where you intend to actually cast it. Then apply it to the desired target. It is going to have its normal effect.
The point is, the developers failed to cancel any spell of too high a level upon the Avatar's return to Britannia.
