I feel like Abusive Parents should have it’s own page, or at least featured in the main page as there are so many bad parents (including foster parents), as well as instances of abuse, in the show.

  • Chickification: Downplayed; Courtney is still a massive tomboy who will stand up to much larger male bullies and Jumped at the Call, but standing up to the larger male Jerk Jock plays differently; whereas in the comic she kicked him in the face and was excited to fight him and his friend, in the show she just pushes him and he trips over something. Later, when the staff takes her to fight him and his friend, she's understandably scared to fight two much larger boys when she's caught and would've gotten her ass kicked had the staff not helped. Also played with; instead of the more aggressive kickboxing that she self-declares, we are instead treated to a brief shot of her in a karate gi winning a tournament and that martial art is only briefly mentioned.

Chickification, per the trope page, is where a character becomes more stereotypically feminine with no good in-universe justification, especially if it meets an apparent demand for a "chick" in the cast.

Not drop kicking someone in the face, not being a Blood Knight, displaying a reasonable amount of fear when at a disadvantage, practicing a less "aggressive" style of martial arts. These are not examples of chickification, especially weighed against her reckless proactiveness and willingness to jump into the fray. If they're anything it's downplayed Adaptational Wimp, but even that is a stretch.

This is basically just complaining that Courtney is only 90% as badass as she was in the comics.

Also, can Chickification even apply across adaptations?

Also also, shouldn't it go on the character page, regardless?
