This page has gotten to the size where it'll need to be split, as per this thread. Looking at the page, there's quite a bit of variety, and I'm not quite sure how to split it. Since you guys obviously frequent the page more often than I do, do you have any suggestions on how it should be split?
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?” Hide / Show RepliesWe're still batting around ideas on how to slim the page down to less site-breaking levels.
We could port the character-based tropes over to the Character Sheet. But for any trope that applies to more than one character, that would take up MORE space, as we'd be repeating ourselves. Also, that would leave the main page almost blank, because most of the non-character tropes are already covered on the page for the setting itself (which is, unlike our player-generated content, a legitimate published work).
At the very least, we've started ruthlessly culling anything regarding inactive PCs, since they're no longer part of the story and setting we're creating. That should help at least a little.
Should we have more about the from-the-book setting? I see there's already an entry for Superman/Centurion — should there be others (Aquaman/Siren, Batman/Raven, Flash/Johnny Rocket, Iron Man+Hank Pym/Daedalus, Martian Manhunter/Pseudo, Wonder Woman/Lady Liberty)? Or should those be on the main FC tropes page?
Hide / Show RepliesHunh, thought I was already signed in when I typed that.
"Libraries will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no libraries."There's a trope page for the Freedom City setting. I think that stuff should go there, and this page should be saved for player-created content (I'm counting the Moderators as "players" in that context).
Should we put single character tropes here? Maybe if it applies to two or three characters, but anything else seems too specific.
Hide / Show RepliesYes. Yes we should. Look at the pages for any team book, like Justice League or X-Men. They have plenty of individual character tropes listed.
Badass Spaniard has been renamed to Dashing Hispanic. The trope requires some necessary characteristics, like being a rogue Anti-Hero of wit and charm, kind of like Zorro. There is not enough context to tell if it fits here.
