Is there a name for the opposite, when the special effects budget is so low, the explosions and other effects are drawn rather than staged? The films where I saw it weren't serious :)
Or should it go here as "inversions"?
Do fully animated examples count, where some characters are if a different animation style? Like animesque characters appearing in n American cartoon or 2D animated characters appearing in an otherwise All-CGI Cartoon
