In The Matrix Reloaded, Neo fights hundreds of Agents Smiths in a long drawn out battle scene which lasts several minutes before he escapes by simply flying away. Why he didn't fly away right at the beginning of the encounter is anyone's guess.
- He'd beaten Smith in the climax of the previous movie, and had only gotten stronger since, shown by his ability to fight off three upgraded Agents without breaking a sweat. He held his own until Smiths stopped trying to fight him and just jumped on top of him, at which point he threw them off and flew away post-haste.

Removed because, as the second part points out, Neo only flew away when Smith stopped trying to outfight him and went to Zerg Rush/dogpile tactics. He flew away the moment it looked like Smith could overwhelm him.
