I've noticed that this is the only Beast Man subtrope that includes Funny Animals in the examples, and several of the others specifically rule it out in the description. I don't know if we should or shouldn't, I just feel we ought to be consistent.

Do pigs from "The Muppet Show" qualify, or are they considered just pigs? (The most popular one, Miss Piggy, is female, but other pig characters are male.)

This trope refers to pig people, not exclusively male examples.
