We had a pair of Zero Context Examples leftover when Merger of Souls was judged launch-ready. They're currently commented-out in the page text. Anyone want a crack at them?

This trope was intended outcome of the ultimately-aborted Third Impact in Neon Genesis Evangelion. The process gets aborted before the occurrence of total fusion and thus irreversible Loss of Identity.
Done in many different ways in Fullmetal Alchemist.
