How is Al Bundy from Married... with Children the face of this trope? He works hard, he goes out and works at a shoe store to support his wife and kids. Just how is he lazy? Is he lazy for settling on such a low-wage job and not trying to find a more lucrative salary for the good of his family? I can see him as a failure of a husband, an incompetent husband but not lazy.
