Question. Is there a trope article about that one specific kind of scene where a character with headphones is always blissfully oblivious to everything happening around him or her, no matter how loud it gets? I am pretty sure this isn't exclusive to oblivious janitors.

What is the difference between using this trope "Deliberately" and "Symbolically"? They seem to have very similar examples.
