In need of someone with better ears than mine, but does this track apply for the trope? It is from the anime adaptation of Dies Irae and while the original VN mostly references Mozarts and Verdi's versions, I think I might be hearing the original tune in the opening sections of this theme.

Any similarities are too vague to my ears to count as an example IMO. There are notes in the opening moments that zigzag downwards but the wrong way (low-high-low-high instead of high-low-high-low).

I have added an image for the page, but I am noting here that I used standard musical notation on the original Gregorian chant for ease of reading and familiarity, rather than throwing back to old school chant notation that might just cause confusion. Covered in Star Wars Cleanup, Deadpool, and Web Video sand. I'm not coarse and rough, but I get everywhere.
