In The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, each character is asked to see the Wizard one at a time, appearing as something different to each one. It's all a trick, however; the real "wizard" is The Man Behind the Curtain.
From the trope description: "Keep in mind that when Appearance Is In The Eye of The Beholder, that means that the entity involved looks different to multiple peopleat the same time."
Batman: The Animated Series has Calendar Girl, who hides her face out of disgust of being disfigured, wearing a mask. However, when the mask is removed and her face is revealed, she still has model looks — despite this, she breaks down crying at how hideous she is.
From the trope description: "Keep in mind that when Appearance Is In The Eye of The Beholder, that means that the entity involved looks different to multiple people at the same time."
Seeing yourself as a monster when everyone else sees your real appearance is a different trope. I recommend trope finder.
