The Covers Always Lie example needs to be added back in along with a correction to the Race Lift example: Rod is black and it's not just a Word of God moment outside of the book. About mid-way through or so, one of the kids mentions being unable to tell the difference between Rod and Caroline when seen at a distance, and she's referred to as "the big Zulu girl".
