I brought it up there, but got no response.

There are... very few legitimate examples on the page.

A lot of them, like Lenny and Carl, are basically Ascended Meme and can count; they began as Ho Yay and evolved into Homoerotic Subtext as the creators got in on the joke. Others, like Smithers, that was the point the whole time. And the majority are plain ol' gay jokes.

Most of the ones that aren't outright "this is funny because it mirrors homosexual attraction" scenes lack context.
