ositive light.

Second, I don't know why the entry belongs on the Fridge Logic page for this movie. An acknowledgement that there are people who were slightly similar to Ernesto, but also much worse. It's like going to the Monsters Inc. page and pointing out there are real-life corrupt businessmen just like Mr. Waternoose.

And if the horror the entry was alluding to was that the three figures mentioned were also remembered fondly and treated favorably in the afterlife, despite the crimes they committed... Well, we've no idea that's actually the case. It's never said that the Land of the Dead hosts deceased people who aren't Mexican, and not all cultures feature an afterlife in which your status is determined by how well people remember you. It's very possible that Columbus and Lenin ended up somewhere where their crimes were actually held against them.

I think there was an error because your post is seemingly severely cut off at the beginning.

I had a sobering realisation.

Other cultures probably have their own afterlifes, but they might have similar aesthetics regarding technology. They don't use the modern stuff, the technology they have is 'dead', it's not used anymore. Lost to time, rarely found outside dusty old museums or ancient Polish car mechanics.

In Russia, the Buran Orbiter would be an example.

There's something sad about the most advanced piece of space-going technology in history being abandoned, forgotten, and destroyed.

Please, the dancers on Ernesto's version of Remember me are dancing traditional dances from Mexico, not can can. Just search "jarabe tapatio ballet folklorico" on youtube, press enter and watch and compare the scene with what you saw.

I guess I'll be doing rounds to correct some mistakes that other tropers do -and I understand, if you're not part of the culture portrayed on Coco you may mistake a thing for something else-. So I'm not mad about the mistakes on the fridge, I'm glad to see that lot's of people realize stuff about the movie that for any mexican that is taken for granted, but please accept that there will be lots of mexican tropers doing corrections.

Curiosity may killed the cat but the cat had more lifes.
