My reasoning for having the Franchise referred to as just Sam & Max: As far as I know, Freelance Police (aside from their occupation) does refer to the comic series, the cancelled 2000's game and the animated series. The works as a whole from what I gather (especially when looked through The Other Wiki) is just Sam & Max. It is possible though that the comics page can be referred to through the Freelance Police name.
