The response in the society marches on part that says, "That said, the movie would still hold up today, because Jerk Jocks never really change and they pick on everyone who isn't like them", really seems like a Take That! at jocks and even an It's Personal. It should really be phrased nicer to not include this person's baggage that has little to do with the movie (which itself is a take that at jocks). Though Jerk Jocks tend to have more of an effect because of their high social status, I doubt they are any more hostile to "different" things than nerds, and until that is proven, these kind of inflammatory opinions should be on the justbugsme or troper tales me for jerkjocks, not here.
