This page has been removed from all indexes but I left it intact for archival purposes.

I was going through the list of recommendations adding statuses today and I ran across an issue.
Several fanfic recs on the list are for author universes instead of individual stories. This seems counter to the purpose of the rec list, because it's very possible to like one story from an author's universe without liking all of them. This is even more true with a shared universe like the Lunaverse.
How should we handle recs like that?

So in thinking about this topic a bit, I've come up with a possible solution. Create a rec new page, one specifically for FanVerses. Any one have an opinion on this idea?

The guidleines on Fanfic Recs: My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic
say "Please refrain from posting "Comments" or Conversation in the Main Page though; that goes in the discussion page." However people have been adding "Comments" to various ficfic recs for some time now. Most of them are either trivia or mini-reviews and, unlike the rec, aren't sourced.
So should we get rid of comments?

Is it that you don't know how to edit the page or are you asking if there's a special process?
Anyone else think the "General" page has gotten long enough to warrant folders?
And what to name those folders? Easiest would probably be just alphabetical and page vs. no page, but I'd kind of like to see some themes (history, Alternate Universe, future speculation...)

Well, for one, I think we need a Cupcakes subfolder, We've got the story itself, it's sequel, it's parody, an AU, and a fancomic. And that's just off the top of my head!

Oh, Christ, will someone PLEASE clean up these archives? I'm seeing shipping fics and human fics in places I don't want them! Spike and Rarity can't have a child! Spike and Rarity wouldn't even get as far as the conceptiOH GOD I probably shouldn't read Cupcakes.
The General page has gotten too large and needs to be split up. The obvious way to do it is alpahbetically: General A-I, General J-Q, General R-Z. It's boring, but practical.
So I thought I'd ask if anyone had any other suggestions before I start that rather large undertaking. Something a bit less ho-hum that still keeps things orderly.
