The problem is explained on the recap page for her episode:
- Writers Cannot Do Math: Maria is pregnant, but a person who was an assistant district attorney before the outbreak 20 years ago would have to be at least in her late 40s in the present day. It's unlikely that a woman of that age could get pregnant without some advanced fertility treatment.
I think the writers didn't think enough about her profession before the outbreak when making her pregnant in the present. Not sure how this panned out in the game.

I see then. Perhaps it would be good to add information into the Absurdly Elderly Mother entry.

I see, thanks; edited a bit as well.

I don't think Maria counts in regards to the Absurdly Elderly Mother trope. This entry says she's approximately in her late forties to early fifties. I'm not sure where that comes from, but her actress was around forty four when this was filmed. Women getting pregnant while in their early to mid forties (without a fertility treatment) isn't that unusual so far as I know, certainly not enough to qualify I'd say.
