Somebody added Comically Missing the Point to Lavali's entry on the Characters page, with the following note:
Much like Tiffany Winters, she's still convinced that she managed to keep her lesbiansim a secret... even when her brother repeatedly tells her that they already knew she was gay.
(1) I don't see that Lavali was Missing any particular Point here.
(2) I don't see the relevance of Tiffany Winters, a completely different character from a completely different fictional universe in a completely different genre.
So I've deleted this for now. But I thought I'd better bring this here for debate, if necessary.
= Spindriver =Looking at the trope, it appears that Transparent Closet is not appropriate for Lavali. TC implies that the character themselves don't see themselves as gay. As per the trope: "Everyone knows these characters are gay except the characters themselves."
So, what we need is a 'did you think you were hiding it?' trope, for which I am not sure where that would be.
Hide / Show RepliesEverybody Knew Already appears to be broad enough to fit. Okay, it wasn't necessarily "everybody" in this case, but it was the people who mattered in context.

What if instead of her Id Ego And Superego, Sandra was with her Shoulder Devil and Angel.
Sandra’s Shoulder Devil: Let’s reciprocate!
Sandra: Matt said that we should . . .
Sandra’s Shoulder Angel: But what if she’s not?
Sandra’s Shoulder Devil: But what if she IS!???
Sandra: . . .
Sandra’s Shoulder Angel: . . .
