Why do you have the Big Bad and other tropes erased on both Team Magma and Team Aqua, that doesn’t make any sense to me.

  • Alternate Self: The Archie who joins Team Rainbow Rocket in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon is not the Archie from Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. The story reveals that it's the Archie from the original universe who crossed over into the current one.

  • Alternate Self: The Maxie who joins Team Rainbow Rocket in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon is not the Maxie from Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. The story reveals that it's the Maxie from the original universe who crossed over into the current one.

The history not mentions any original world and not mentions that they do exist in the worlds of Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Reading the datamined text, it is relatively obvious that the Archie and the Maxie are of different worlds. Beyond this, in the post that revealed the official chronology of the series, the remakes were not listed. And, based in their speech, they won... and their games are prior to the events of Gold/Silver/Diamond/Pearl. In other words, i guess the example needs at least of a rewording.

Well, we know for sure that X/Y, Alpha/Omega, and Sun/Moon all take place in the same dimension. The Alola totem was first shown in X/Y to show that the region exists, and Alpha/Omega make direct references to the events that happen in X/Y. Therefor, the dimension that the games take place in have an Archie and Maxie already. It's also confirmed that the other Archie and Maxie came from another dimension. One where the player protagonist didn't exist, but another dimension all the same. It may not be the "Original non-Mega-Evolution non-Fairy Type" world from the pre-3DS games, but another world all the same.

Actually, the Twitter post revealing the official continuity of the series is only the name of the original versions in Japanese linked by arrows and equal signs- the names of both X/Y and the original Red/Green are listed but not any of the remakes. Beyond this, are you sure that the worlds of the Ultra versions are the same worlds of the original Sun/Moon?
