Wouldn't it actually be better to split Sci-Twi and Spike (and possibly Humane 5) into separate folders?

The Humane Five have more tropes in common than they have individually, it makes more sense to treat them as a group.
As for Spike and Twilight, they're introduced at the same time and are always together, so it makes sense to treat them as a unit (though I don't particularly mind either way).
With Midnight Sparkle's role in the upcoming movie, can she be considered a separate enough character to warrant her old folder (like Princess Luna and Nightmare Moon)?
- The preview alone has treated her as a more separate entity then Sunset's demon form ever was.
- A third of Human Twilight's entry is spoiled out with stuff that's going to be a Late-Arrival Spoiler and separating the profiles would clean that up.
After watching the movie, I'd say they are distinct enough to put on their own folders, considering Gaea also has her tropes separated from her other self.
That's a big clean-up effort, but it can be warranted, indeed. Where to put her, tho? Unaffiliated?
Or maybe add a Villains section; the Dazzlings would fit there better than as CHS students, anyway.
I've added a Villains section and moved the Dazzlings and Gaea Everfree there. With the addition of Midnight Sparkle in-between, we'll have a main villain for every movie (yes, including Sunset Shimmer).

Note though, to avoid all-spoilered entries, lots of spoiler tags have been removed in the process. I think they are depreciated on characters pages anyway. We should rather put a big SPOILER WARNING on top and proceed to a big spoilers clean-up.
I would like to suggest moving Sunset Shimmer to her own character page, given how large her folder is becoming.

That's unnecessary for now. The page has yet to reach any problematic size. And there are frankly enough characters subpages in this franchise already.
For future reference, how large would her page have to be to warrant its own folder?
There isn't really a predefined size to make a character's folder its own page. It's more if the size of that character's folder is dwarfing the rest of the characters, or if it's simply getting too big.

I don't know about her entry being too big in relation to other characters' on this page, but currently she has the third biggest entry of all Gen4 characters (including Mane characters with their own pages). The only ones who have bigger entries than Sunset are Discord and Twilight, with Starlight on a (relatively) close fourth place.
Conversely, there was also talk in the main series Character Discussion about giving Starlight her own page over Discord (whose entry is a lot bigger than either Sunset's or Starlight's), because some considered that the Season 5 finale and the Season 6 (upto that point) including it's opening montage proved she was a Mane Character, but it got pulled back for the time being when Jim Miller clarified
her to be a recurring character when asked about her lack of appearances outside her own focus episodes.
I think we should agree to some kind of definitive rules about these things for the future, unless there's some unspoken rule about characters from the original series only getting their own pages. Also because I have this gut feeling there will be an Edit War after this season's finale.

Okay, the page is getting too big and it is really slowing down edits now.
Moving Sunset Shimmer to her own entry would seem justified by now (more than Starlight Glimmer ever was).
It's done.
Next step: Indexing and possibly dividing personality, ability and such tropes in their own folders.
Okay, once again it's time to cut this page into smaller segment since it's getting too big.
What would be the best sorting? Three pages, "The Protagonists", "The Villains" "All the others"?
Just to have a quick assessment, I used Word to get the current approximative size of each segment:
- Equestria Girls/The Rainbooms (sans Sunset Shimmer): 64,100 char.
- The Villains (sans Sunset Shimmer): 85,800 char.
- Others: 99,600 char.
