Edward Chris von Muir
- Continuity Nod: Ever wondered why the currency of Final Fantasy is known as "gil"? Edward — or rather, his Japanese name of Gilbart — is your answer.

Argument against: "Gil" was used in the original Japanese releases of Final Fantasy I, Final Fantasy II, and Final Fantasy III. Thus, if use of "gil" as a currency in the Final Fantasy series is a nod to anything, it's a nod to Final Fantasy I, not this game. Final Fantasy IV is the only game that attempted to justify usage of the name.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.
Should Fusoya be the Big Good of FF 4 and should Cecil be the Big Good in after years?
