OK, that's a good point - but in that case, we really should create a page for the novel (and blockbuster disaster movie) that started it all, plus the 2006 remake and either of the two TV series. So that would be Literature, Live Action - Film (2 versions), and TV (2 versions), in addition to the already existing Anime. I do happen to have the novel (English translation) in my library and can start a page for it. I've seen the 1973 movie a number of times (as of last year it was available in subtitled form on the Internet Archive, though I don't know if it's still there at this time) and can start a page for that as well, though I'd be working largely from memory so it'd be a stub at first.
Feel free to use your Tropers/ or Sandbox/ page to draft the stub until it's ready to be moved to the main wiki.

I think we need a Franchise page at this point, seeing that we have the original movie plus the 2006 remake, two TV series (one in 1974-75 and a recent one titled "Japan Sinks: People of Hope"), a manga (as well as a close spiritual cousin titled "A Spirit of the Sun"), and this anime.
