It says to not change someone else's spelling, but should that be accepted for just making a page consistant within itself?

I'd say only on Works pages originating in an English speaking Country or in a Useful Notes page regarding such a country; these should be changed to that country's preference. Tropes and other nations' Works/Notes are Up For Grabs, keeping Rule #2 in mind.

Amendment to #4: Works that originate in an English speaking country and Useful Notes pages regarding a particular aspect of such a country should use that country's dialect in the title and in descriptions. Trope and Notes pages and Works originating in/referring to a non-English speaking country follow the general guideline.
