openThe Donald Duck cartoon this image is from Western Animation
Webidolchiu94 sent me this image and neither of us can figure out the cartoon it's from, and Googling serves no help: http://www.comedycentral.co.uk/sites/default/files/styles/image-w-1050-h-1050-scale/public/cc_uk/galleries/large/2016/08/17/mornings.jpg?itok=WwGUmbPG
openBritish drama mini series late 90s or early 2000s Live Action TV
A young couple are desperate for money, she pretends she's posh, dresses up and puts on an accent and tricks a wealthy man into falling for her and helping her out with her "sick relative's care home fees". She finds out she's pregnant with her boyfriend's baby and then tricks the rich guy into sleeping with her and pretending the baby's his. She keeps up a dual life between the rich guy and the boyfriend until she gets found out. That's all I remember, don't know who was in it and can't remember when exactly it was made
openDyschrometria
There's this show on either Hulu or Netflix about a girl who has dyschrometria , she cannot keep track of time. Here's what I recall. She gets suspended from school because of an issue with her roommate. Her father Ed died but she has no emotion towards this. She breaks in to use a computer and the police arrests her. She's being questioned by the police. That's all I can recall.
open2 examples for Ominous Pipe Organ Film
This is a weird question, but...
If I recall correctly, the live-action films of both The Smurfs and Dudley Do-Right contain a brief Ominous Pipe Organ tune when the Big Bad is first introduced.
Is this correct? Can someone maybe provide more context, as well as Youtube links to these scenes?
Edited by DrNoPumaopenEuropean (?) SciFi film Film
When I was a kid I saw a science fiction horror movie on TV. It was almost certainly of European - perhaps Italian - origin, dating from around the early 1960's. One of the characters was a cyborg or a flesh-covered robot or somesuch. In one scene he's feeling rather ill. There's a close-up of his midsection as he pulls the front of his costume open, and the flesh falls off the blinking mechanical innards like so much rotten hamburger meat. (I believe it was a crude but effective stop-motion sequence.)
I want to say the title was something like War of the Satellites or Battle of the Planets or something similar, but there are several movies with that title formula.
If anyone can definitively identify the movie, I'd be forever grateful.
open2000s kids cartoon Western Animation
Memories pretty hazy about it but from what I recall it involved a boy, a girl who did magic with a book, stereotypical strong but stupid knight and a princess who they were trying to protect. The villain trying to kidnap her was tall with black hair and he had some kind of animal sidekick. King Arthurs Disasters kind of 2D animation.
openLate 90s/Early 00s scary kids show Live Action TV
I have been searching on and off for years for what scary show I was watching on Saturday mornings. No idea what channel. It was mock-umentary style horror for kids, not Don't Be Afraid of the Dark or Goosebumps style. I remember there being an episode trying to find a man who lived in the sewer (they were nervous because it got dark, ended up with blurry video of it), as well as stories about the ghost of a boy haunting a house across from a graveyard. I think there was also an episode with a group of kids or teens in a bedroom and there were eyes looking from the closet, but I could be combining shows. I don't *think* it was Truth or Scare, but it had a female narrator like that. Again, paranormal faux documentary kids show, aired Saturday mornings in the US sometime between 1998 and 2003. Live action, not animated. Thanks y'all.
open(Something) X and (Something) M? Videogame
There were these edutainment games we played in school, in the late 2000's. Both were first person shooter games meant to teach math. Both had names starting with a word like "mission" or "expedition", and then a letter.
- ??? X: A surprisingly intense shooter where the player character comes to an island. They have to fight all sorts of insectoid robot enemies while learning about things like the Order of Operations.
- ??? M: A Lighter and Softer online multiplayer game, where the characters' guns shoot goo that only traps players for a few seconds instead of killing them.
openMulan Fan Fic
Alright, I know technically that this is to find original works, not fan works, but this has been killing me, and I've run out of options. A while back, I read a fanfic for Mulan (the Disney movie), where basically she still joined the army as a man etc., but when it was discovered that the Huns were camped nearby, Mulan dressed herself as a woman again, pretended to have gotten lost in the woods while collecting firewood while her father set up camp (I think she hid her weapon in a bundle of sticks tied to her back), then when they took her back to camp (it was implied that they were going to rape her) she killed all of the ones camped there. Don't really remember the end, but I'm pretty sure Shang saw her coming back covered in blood and was like WTF and she (I think maybe) made some comment that the Huns camped nearby wouldn't be a problem anymore. It was most likely on ff.net or ao3, bc those are the sites I use the most, but it could've been on live journal, as I sometimes read fic on there. Please help me find this! It was well written and really in character and I'd love to read it again.
openI think it may have been cancelled Live Action TV
So I remember watching the first episode of this tv show on itunes years ago because they were giving the first episode free to try and now I would like to watch it but can't remember what it is called. The episode has two families: one is a mother who lives on farmland, has 3 daughters a rancher, a musician and an adopted native daughter. The other family has a dad who is rich, a daughter that is going to get married and is a bitch, and 2 sons who work in the city. The rich dad is trying to buy out the other families land but the mom will not sell. Everyone comes home to celebrate the rich daughters wedding shower but trouble sues when the native girl is affended by a drunk about her being adopted and runs away to hide in the barn. Night comes and the girl sees the rich bitch steals away a man (not her soon to be husband) and has sex with him in the barn. Stuff happens and lawyers come to take the land away from the mom but her musician daughter who was going to use that money for her tour, gives it to save the land. And I think that's how episode 1 ends... If anyone can help, that would be great!
openCGI movie with a singing animal in it Western Animation
A while back, I saw this animated movie (possibly CGI) that had some animal character singing a song to the tune of Teddy Bears' Picnic and part of the lyrics were about an elf or leprechaun or something like that constantly having to pee. I think the animal was voiced by either Andy Dick, David Spade or Ashton Kutcher. For some reason, I'm thinking of Open Season or one of the Happily N'Ever after movies but I could be wrong. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
openKids Sci-Fi Series Live Action TV
There was a kids sci-fi TV series available at Blockbuster in the early 90s. It was a serial. I don't remember too much about it apart from one of the VHS covers had an image of a giant alien or something holding up a glass box full of human pets in it on the front. Any help?
open80s childrens show...
I'm trying to remember the name of a show I watched in the 80s. It involved music and a guy playing a guitar. It seemed multicultural and it showcased music from around the world (geared towards kids). Can anyone help me out?! I can see it, but that's it.
open90's Educational PC Game? Videogame
There was this point-and-click educational PC game I remember playing in grade school back in the 90's. I can't remember the title, but I remember the plot: there were these little round aliens called 'Bumps' who were basically a bunch of multicolored round blobs with googly eyes and mouths. They were flying in a spaceship and crashlanded on earth, and their spaceship got taken by this young girl who dragged it back to her shed. The Bumps meet up with this little nerdy rat character who tells them that their spaceship is inside the shed, and the girl was an artist who would probably turn it into a sculpture or something, so he helps the Bumps get inside the shed through various physics-based puzzles- using different-sized Bumps to move and lift objects, weigh different things down, and balance platforms to get across to their goal. It was all done in cartoony 2-D graphics, with (I think) pre-rendered 3D backgrounds, like some of the Jumpstart games.
I remember the Bumps being featured in at least one other, similar game too, one that was themed around an alien carnival where you played different games with the Bumps and some other aliens too- the only ones I remember are this one "villain" who looked like a purple anteater who sucked up Bumps through his snout, and a yellow dragon-like Ringmaster character.
openCrime/romantic/drama
I'm looking for a newly realised American tv show about a red head women who was in a relationship with a guy but the guy was stealing money from her company, as she tried to work out who was stealing money from her company/clients she discovered that it was her boyfriend/fiancé and as she goes to arrest him he disappears but then reappear but putting an original stolen art work on her bedroom wall.
Edited by HystericalRamopenShow about a victorian girl who gets in trouble.
