You can remove the "while not accurate to gay men with AIDS" or at least change it to "while not accurate to all gay men with AIDS." It's fine to remove something that's technically incorrect, but you can't replace it with something that makes it sound like gay men spreading AIDS is more common than gay men simply living with it.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.

Again, I should have gone for a middle ground approach. I think it's actually fine how it is now. I just wanted to explain my logic instead of having people accuse me of claiming the stereotype is true(which I wasn't doing).
