Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
P Ms should be sent to both of them to come here so we can hash this out.
I would send them myself but I'm not in a position to do so.
My Fanfiction.net Page My DeviantArt PageThere needs to be a new Drinking Game for the amount of times someone gets into an Edit War on RWBY. Particularly the YMMV page...
^ @Arctimon: PMs sent. Paged both to come here and work it out.
Edited by SilverCrownSuspended Emerald Theorem.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI got a PM calling me to this thread. I removed an entry that was misuse via complaining. When Emerald Theorem added the entry back, I didn't respond and let it go. Another troper took it to Discussion Page, so I responded there yesterday, and suggested an alternative post that strips out the complaining and focusses on a genuine element that does exist within their post.
So, thanks for calling me in but you don't need to worry about me pursuing an Edit War, I'm already discussing it with other tropers on the Discussion Page.
Edited by Wyldchyld If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Well, you now have another issue on you hands on the same page within less than a few days of each other: Giantleviathan added a Critical Dissonance entry, before Tropers/Steam_Lord deleted it without an edit reason. Giantleviathan now re-added the trope claiming they don't want to start an edit war when they are effectively starting one.
When are people going to learn that the correct procedure is to bring it to discussion and hash it out with the other party instead of immediately putting an entry back and claiming their intention of not causing a ruckus?
"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom PainHmm...
He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.^^ Suspended them.
^^^ While no excuse, my guess would be they don't realize edit #3 makes the war.
Yes, this series again. On YMMV.RWBY, Emerald Theorem added a Base-Breaking Character entry over a week ago, which Wyldchyld deleted on grounds of not fitting the fandom civil war criteria for BBC. Just now, EmeraldTheorem reinstated the entry instead of going through discussion or cleanup threads.
I am no longer giving EmeraldTheorem the benefit of doubt, seeing they have been a complete PITA regarding RWBY-related edits for nearly a year now.
My previous query about EmeraldTheorem was back in March, by the way.
