I sent ~marcoasalazarm a murky example notifier with a link to the thread and the following to explain my own understanding of the Genre Savvy tropes.

Speaking for myself, I typically understand the Genre Savvy tropes to be about understanding OF a Genre, rather than understanding WITHIN a genre. To use an example, a superhero who regularly runs into monologuing supervillains and learns to expects it is NOT Genre Savvy. A superhero who expects a Supervillain to monologue because it's what always happens in comic books IS Genre Savvy. A superhero who expects the supervillain to monologue because it's what always happens in comics only for the villain to fail to do so entirely is Wrong Genre Savvy. What this amounts to with regards to your entry is whether or not Dammers' knowledge comes from personal experience (NOT genre savvy) or because he's read horror and/or detective novels on the matter (IS [Wrong] Genre Savvy).

As we have a tentative consensus that the entry does not count as written, I am re-hiding it with a link to this ATT thread in the edit reason.
