Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help. It's not for everything, though. It wasn't just "some mod". It was "some mod" with a thread backing them. Granted, there's controversy over whether or not all the content should've been moved, but it's important that they weren't just randomly cut by some random mod.

The reasoning doesn’t make sense. They brush it under the rug as conspiracy theory WITH NO BACKING. The release date changes examples are all BECAUSE of the pandemic and heavily documented as such. There’s nothing conspiracy theory about it. It’s fact.

Take it to the thread; no point arguing the decision in the wrong place.

There was consensus for removing the conspiracy theory page. We are a media and pop culture wiki, not a conspiracy theory wiki. The page was off mission. It makes perfect sense that tropers would agree to cut the page, which is precisely what happened.

However, the mod decided to ignore consensus regarding the other COVID-19 pages and chose to cut the pages without preserving the examples. Don't get me wrong, there was consensus to cut all the COVID-19 subpages. What I am saying is that there was also consensus to preserve the examples from the trivia- and trope-related pages, e.g. the examples for Troubled Production, etc.

The issue that I had with those subpages is that we do not trope that way. The examples go into the respective media subpages.

Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they pretty

But the examples weren’t ABOUT conspiracy theories. The release date changes in response to the pandemic were things that actually happened but you’re calling them conspiracy theories for literally no reason.

Seriously guys, this debate should be at the thread itself, not in ATT.

Take it to the thread, guys.

(EDIT: I just linked this query in the thread itself)

We were directed here. The discussion belongs here. I read the thread: There was no consensus to nuke the subpages. The amount of examples were getting too big for the main trope pages, that’s why they were created. That’s why they should still exist

The discussion belongs at the thread for total transparency. ATT isn't the place to debate over policy and about decisions made. The place where the decision was made is the place to debate the decision that was made. Seriously, don't split up the discussion unnecessarily. There's currently two debates going on over this same topic, and people shouldn't be forced to check both ATT and Wiki Talk for updates.
