As well as Disproportionate Restitution, if the food is too small of an apology for whatever he did.

Disproportionate Restitution would work for a lot of these cases. Comfort Food would probably cover the more heartwarming examples. Food as Bribe could apply to cases where the main objective is to get the character to stop complaining.
