I don't think they've ever edited a page, looking at their edit history. (Or lack thereof.) I suppose just keep watch in case they decide to vandalize something.
Also, they have 50+ examples, supposedly.
No, I think they were just posting queries on Trope Finder and for a short time on the forums, but IDK if they've done anything else. Still, it's troubling.

We'll keep an eye on them. I've locked the TF entry to prevent further conversation down the line, because I don't think it'd be fruitful at this point.
I think they're a new troper, so keep that in mind.
^ They're not that new; their first forum activity dates back to May of 2019. They aren't a veteren, but I wouldn't call them a newbie.

I remember their queries from Is this an example? thread and other trope talk threads. I can vouch that they really have many potential examples to add but it's also true they never edited anything on the wiki.
Those suggested examples were mostly "quote only" Zero-Context Examples. They got overly upset when I pointed that out (that it's hard to assess an example if it has no context; that, and I also mentioned that their post was a wall of text with almost no formatting, so it was hard to read).
I felt very sorry for inadvertently insulting them because it really hadn't been my intention and I apologised but it was the same — they announced they'd be quitting the site as well.
It seems they're just overly sensitive to any feedback, be it advice or just a hint of criticism.
^ So if this has happened before, they'll likely come back.

They've been "threatening" to leave the site for months now. They also keep toting these 50+ examples which (if legitimate) they could have just added themselves for months as well. I wouldn't worry too much about them; they can figure it out one way or another.

^ I was just troubled because my well-meaning attempt to explain things to them caused them to blow up on me and announce they were quitting; if this is a habit of theirs, that's still troubling for a different reason, but there's nothing we can really do about it.

^^^ I know. But the thing is we welcome new editors and their contributions are appreciated, so it's good to be welcoming and helpful to newbies. On the other hand, we don't need drama and raging over nothing. :-)

So... this is happening.
I personally don't think I was being rude, but my attempt to be reasonable has caused things to spiral beyond my control. I don't know what to do, and I'm bringing it here so that someone can either help cool the situation down, or so we can keep an eye out just in case this creates more drama elsewhere.
