Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

My immediate question is, regardless of whether you commented on the gameplay or not, how can you review a game you never even played in the first place?
Depending on the nature of the review, isn't that just Complaining About Shows You Don't Watch, even if the review was positive (which I'm betting was not the case since gushing gets a bit more tolerance than negativity).
Edited by sgamer82It was deleted for being secondhand, yes. Unfortunately unless it's on the Wayback Machine, we cannot retrieve the text.
~sgamer82 I'd watched gameplay footage.
Edited by KibchiThat is the very definition of Second hand.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here. And yet Yahtzee would go on to echo my sentiments. I would think I have a right to be a little annoyed when a review I write gets removed for being secondhand, only for my words to be vindicated. Let's not go further with this- I'm already frustrated.
The fact that a different reviewer agrees with you does not change the fact that your review was inherently unviable. You cannot review a work based only on secondhand information. There are no "unless" clauses to that.
If Yahtzee wants to come on here and write his review based on his experience, he is free to do that.
Edited by wingedcatgirl Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. That honestly just feels like a courtier's reply and I don't care much for those. I don't see why not holding the controller in your hands invalidates the whole thing.
Again, I'm gonna ask for this to stop. I'm already frustrated.
Edited by KibchiRegardless of your agreement or disagreement, the reviews section of this wiki is intended for those who have experienced the work firsthand. If you read a film review on a website, isn't it reasonable to expect the writer to have watched the film for themselves?
Closing this query, as the questions in the OP have been answered.
I recently posted a Luigi's Mansion 3 review and it was deleted. I suspect the reason is that I hadn't played it, but nothing I commented on would require me to actually physically hold the controller to observe. I didn't comment on the controls at all, I believe. Given this, I'd like to know why it was deleted, and if it's possible to recover it in any way so that I might post it somewhere that isn't here.
