The TVTropes Trope Finder is where you can come to ask questions like "Do we have this one?" and "What's the trope about...?" Trying to rediscover a long lost show or other medium but need a little help? Head to Media Finder and try your luck there. Want to propose a new trope? You should be over at You Know, That Thing Where.
Well, let's look at Teleportation Tropes and see. You've got your Teleport Interdiction (and related No Warping Zone, though that's more for FTL Travel), Random Transportation, Teleportation Misfire, and general Teleporter Accident for drawbacks. Teleportation that requires equipment at both ends seems to just be covered under the main Teleportation trope, but see also Portal Network.
What is the trope for this? Where teleportation is limited either by only making you only be able to teleport to locations where there's already some sort of beacon or whatever at the receiving end or making it so there's a chance you will teleport to the wrong place by mistake, mainly so teleporting won't be a Story-Breaker Power (i.e they can just teleport to the person/place/thing that the plot revolves around and the story would be over in five minutes.) I'm pretty sure there's a trope for this as it's ubiquitous in sci fi and fantasy
