Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
No IP overlap, but they are in the same geographic region, have a few works in common in their edit history, and....that name. Bouncing. Thanks for the catch.
Yeesh, almost as subtle as Ol' "Mr_Anywayer" was. Gotta love ban evaders and their high stealth skills.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessFrankly, I prefer it when their stealth is bad; makes finding/cleaning easier.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Just wondering, why did you post it here if the user was suspended anyway?
They only were just recently ban evading, but would a removal of their edits be in order?
[ETA] Ban evaders are a major problem on the wiki; if one is suspended but not caught as a ban evader, then they can end up back in to keep editing when they're really not supposed to be doing so. Ban evasion is (normally) an insta-ban, and TV Tropes has a zero-tolerance policy for ban evaders. Caught one such ban evader back in 2017, but not before they were let back in after a previous suspension.
Edited by TheNerfGuyEven the occasionally subtle ones slip up. I twice caught a ban evader because they had a particular quirk of referring to their troping privileges as a license.
But what about Mark Wilder's edits? Should they be purged to discourage further ban evasion?
I know we do it for chronic ban evaders. Not so sure if the stance on what sounds like first timers like this.
That said, I doubt anyone would object.

In 2016, a Mark Wilder was permanently banned with an initial report here. Now I'm seeing a troper called "Mark—Wilder" in Edit Banned, and I recognize the name. Can an IP check at least be done?
