Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.I think the examples are shoehorning anyway, considering said examples were eliminated from the game and lost out on their chance for the million dollars. That sounds like obvious karma to me.
Edited by N8han11Aye, Karma Houdini only applies if one totally gets away with their misdeeds. Even a small sanction means that the trope does not apply. "But it's not enough karma!" just leads to arguments about what is enough or not enough karma.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI disagree with them not being K Hs. It specfically says on the trope page that:
"A villain justly deserving punishment either ends the story without receiving any or receives punishment so minor as to be fairly negligible."
Every contestant who doesn't make it to the final two gets eliminated. That is not sufficent karma.
^ I don't see that anywhere on Karma Houdini. And even if it was there, I feel it shouldn't be part of the trope; like Septimus says, "But it's not enough karma!" just leads to arguments, and I've seen a lot of "But it's not enough karma!" entries.
Edited by dragonfire5000I don't see it anywhere on the page either.
Further research says the line does exist... on the Playing With page. Nothing else about a punishment being that light counting for the trope is anywhere on any other page for the trope, so I'm willing to bet that whoever wrote the Playing With page simply didn't get the limitations of the trope.

Groovy Ahma 2010 removed an example in Western Animation. Thomas Veggie Drama Fan included the example again with "Once again, very lightweight to non-existent when you take all their actions into account (especially since all three are guilty of borderline attempted murder)" as edit reason.
