Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
It happens. Invoke NRLEP and people will call it meta and add it anyway. Happened when we removed real life and fanworks examples from the Steven Universe sugar wiki pages too.
Should it be removed?
Definitely, they are in flagrant violation of the NRLEP rule. We don't need to list every famous person who dies.
Since I removed a different post earlier regarding real life deaths on the page, is it allowed for me to do so again?
Since it's multiple tropers, I removed the section and added a commented-out note advising that meta/real-life is not permitted.
Speaking of that page, I found this example:
- The credits song. God, the credits song. The overwhelming feeling of nostalgia combined with what the show is nowadays, if you're on the "new seasons are bad" boat, it will make you misty-eyed.
It seems like it's an attempt to sneak in complaining about how the new seasons suck.
^ It is. Cut it.
TearJerker.Sponge Bob Square Pants currently has a meta section, when Tear Jerker is No Real Life Examples, Please!. I previously removed real life examples from the page, but these seem to be added by different people than the original posts.
