...I've always enjoyed all the works from these creators, and I've also always really wished their fanbases would just vaporize Infinity War-style.
These are things that happen when a work just released has an active fanbase. I am concerned about locking out a large amount of legit edits by locking, especially as the problem statement is a bit vague (is there one or several specific problem examples?)

YMMV.Voltron Legendary Defender is currently exploding right now as the eighth and final season was released today. There's tons of speculative troping on the page, shipping wars, backlash, and backlash against the backlash. i think a lock may be needed, at least until things cool down some.
