Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
If a standard applies, it applies everywhere.
That said, I don't see anything on the page stating that sources are required...?
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. It's also only suppose to be used on YMMV pages.
(I assumed OP meant "ymmv pages as opposed to the Ron the Death Eater page itself and subpages thereof" but yeah you shouldn't be putting ymmv items on main work pages if that wasn't already clear)

To quote the page: SOURCED EXAMPLES ONLY. Don't just say "This happens to Character X a lot." If you can't name a specific fanwork, it's not an example, and it will be removed.
This is a problem with audience reactions derived from fan works. We have a policy that all such trope examples should go on the article(s) for the fanwork(s), not for the original work. So if Fanfic A makes Ron Weasley a villain, then the example of Ron the Death Eater would go on its main page (not YMMV subpage) and be tagged in-universe. You would not put the example on the Harry Potter article, YMMV or otherwise.
The same applies for all fanfic tropes.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"^^ Oh, I see, it's in a comment. I was assuming it was in the visible text.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.^^Actually, that is not a policy (yet).

Does Ron the Death Eater requiring sources apply to YMMV pages as well? Most uses I've seen are general.
