It looks like griping to me.

I agree. It just reads as long paragraphs of complaining and Justifying Edit and the like. I also don't really understand how the issue of gender discrepancy in itself is a valid Headscratcher, as these pages are meant to be about things that are confusing, whereas this doesn't really seem like a "confusing" issue, per say.

This exactly why we have rules against Headscratchers like "Why does this movie suck?" It's obviously just someone stating their opinion as a question.

Should anything be done with the entry?

So are we all at consensus with me just deleting that folder?

I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any other ideas, but yeah, I'm personally in favour of just cutting it altogether.

Go for the cut. It’s not a headscratcher as pointed out it’s just a rant disguised poorly as a question.

Cutting headscratchers is atypical (though would be appropriate here). Please include in the edit reason a link to this discussion, and to Headscratchers itself, where it's noted that it's not for complaining.

Section removed and cited this query and the Home Page.

I feel I must respectfully disagree that the section was "just complaining" and especially "someone's personal gripe about how there ought to be more women getting killed in the movie." While I felt that section was far too bloated and ranty with people's differing views, simply asking why there isn't more female representation in a movie released in 2016 is a perfectly legitimate question. Times have changed a lot since A New Hope's release in 1977; back then audiences thought nothing of organizations like the Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire being composed entirely or almost entirely of (white) men with maybe the occasional token woman like Princess Leia and Mon Mothma (and Jyn Erso as a modern example), but now more and more people expect better representation, which the Sequel Trilogy has gone out of it's way to fix, and even the new Original Trilogy EU retcons the old movies' sexism and racism: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rae_Sloane A big improvement over things like the old EU's token female Imperial villains among an ocean of men, who were often written by (male) writers as overused sexist stereotypes and wretchedly incompetent to boot, such as Admiral Daala and Ysanne Isard. See this article, Senseless Sexism in the Galactic Empire for more info on this phenomenon: http://eleven-thirtyeight.com/2014/02/senseless-sexism-in-the-galactic-empire/

So it's definitely not a stretch to expect the same thing of new movies set in during the OT's time and not "just complaining," even though some people in headscratchers section gave some perfectly legitimate rebuttals to why Rogue One was that way. It's the same kind of question as asking why all the rebel troopers aboard the Tantive IV killed by Darth Vader are white with no people of color among them; The filmmakers were obviously trying to keep things consistent with A New Hope where all the rebel troopers were white, but it's still not just complaining to simply speculate why there isn't more racial diversity among the rebel troopers.

I also feel it's not griping about wanting more women to be killed in the movie anymore than wanting more racial diversity is griping about wanting more people of color killed in the movie; if there's a war movie with Gender Is No Object and lots of fighting women in its armies, then of course lots of women are going to get killed, such as movies like The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, The Hunger Games series, etc. Some people have no problem with men being killed in droves in movies but shy away from women being killed, even if it is in non-stuffed-into-fridge, non-sexualized, non-misogynistic ways no different than typical movie male deaths. It's an attitude that is sexist against both genders, seeing as how Stay In The Kitchen and Men Are The Expendable Gender are clearly two sides of the same coin. So I feel that's another legitimate concern, even though I admit it might qualify more as complaining than the first question.

So that's my 2 cents on why I feel that headscratchers section shouldn't have been removed, maybe at most just cut down to remove a lot of the natter. It's probably a moot issue at this point, but I felt that needed to be said. :)

The issue's already been addressed and finished. No reason why this needed to be bumped after three and a half months.
