Can't Kill You, Still Need You?
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faer
Two slightly-related tropes that I can't put a name to:
The first is where someone was seriously considering murdering or otherwise removing another character but decided against it, not because it was wrong, but because doing so would be just too difficult or inconvenient "...but then I'd have to hide the evidence and that means finding a shovel, and you know how damn deep you have to dig a hole and I'm like forget this."
The similar trope is when someone encourages another not to die, not because they would be sad if they did, but because it would again be inconvenient "do you know how much paperwork I have to fill in if one of you dies out there?" "Please don't die. I don't want to have to do your job as well."
Needless to say these are always played for comedy.
