Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
There does seem to be a lot of back and forth and dubious edits, overly defensive edits, and Justifying Edits by just about everyone on that page, I wonder if a lock might not be in order until the dust settles in the New Year.
Yeah, there's a lot of discontent ready to boil over onto that movie's page and the respective character pages. This film was divisive in a way I've never seen before.
Should we lock these pages, then? I have not seen the film yet.
I'd say go for it. I get the feeling that the edits I came here to discuss are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to angry people hot off the film's release/reception coming here to vent their emotions onto the respective pages.
Edited by Dirtyblue929That sounds like a good reason for a temp lock. I'll post that in FAQ.
Gave a response in the FAQ thread.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanExcuse my ignorance, but which FAQ thread is that?

Working on cleaning up List Of Shows That Need SummaryThank you.
EDIT: As has been mentioned in the replies, this is starting to become a larger issue that goes beyond this one user.
User AbsoluteSword has been making a lot of rather.. charged edits and entries regarding the character Kylo Ren on YMMV.TheLastJedi and Characters.StarWarsTheFristOrder. Specifically, he's throwing in tons of word cruft about how the character is "hilariously stupid" and a "whiny little bitch" and fighting to keep it in.
The one that first got my attention, on YMMV, got pulled due to potential edit-warring over it and brought to discussion, where it quickly died. The second, on Characters, I edited to something far less ridiculous (it was a valid trope), but he reverted it with the edit description: "One of the advices of writing tropes is to "have a sense of humor"; but going to clarify WHY he's now a joke to "His New Empire" all the same."
