The TVTropes Trope Finder is where you can come to ask questions like "Do we have this one?" and "What's the trope about...?" Trying to rediscover a long lost show or other medium but need a little help? Head to Media Finder and try your luck there. Want to propose a new trope? You should be over at You Know, That Thing Where.
I believe this is covered by Important Haircut.
Important Haircut's subtrope Beard of Sorrow is when growing the beard or stubble represents emotional turmoil; shaving it off indicates that He's Back!- or at least that he's trying to be back.
Expository Hairstyle Change is closely related to both, but without focusing on the specific moment/process of the change: say Bob trading his Beard of Evil for a Perma-Shave look between appearances may reflect his Heel–Face Turn
Do we have a trope for when a character has to dramatically shave off their beard / stubble to show that they are getting their a into g, a la misfit mobilisation or let's get dangerous, or to show they've abandoned their slovenly/sad/less moral ways?
