I'm looking at those pages and I'm like "What the f-".

Yeah, something needs to be done about this. Also, is Sophiebybophie some kind of bot?

Yes, but I don't think it is a good way to go about this. Reviews are attached to the person who added them, which in this case isn't the actual reviewer. I think a plain deletion would be more appropriate here.

Looks like they need a tap on the shoulder. Shall I send a PM?

Hi! Sorry, I started moving them cause on the page nothing has been done about it since 2013 and it was getting annoying seeing reviews take up the page. The one's that actually have a troper name next to them, i don't change, but the ones that don't I add 'Anon'.

I am thinking that maybe removing the "reviews" from the page is the right move. Our Reviews pages are not constructed for adding reviews on behalf of a third party.

Septimus Heap, at risk of being shouted at, this policy was decided somewhere around 2010/11ish. There was a big discussion and a lot of heated comments about making sure that reviews were preserved and transferred, not simply removed. I recall Fast Eddie even threatening to ban people who didn't transfer reviews en masse like that. Of course he also refused to allow an official policy page with a black letter rule on it too, which means this issue keeps coming back up here.

Personally I am fine with just removing the comments and having anyone that wants to leave a review coming back and writing it themselves, but I think there needs to be a consistent written rule, and an administrivia page for this. Right now it is still a free for all, with people still shoving in comments on the fanfic rec's page, and people who are following the course of action that the previous site owner preferred getting reported here. And there being this inconsistency between mods.

I would like to ask that you mods get around a (metaphorical) table and hash out a single policy and we have it with the rest of the rules on the administrivia so we can put this issue to bed once and for all.

Yeah, I remember that discussion and the conclusion that comments except for secondations are unwanted still stands. Regarding moving these comments to reviews ... I just don't see how that would work with our review mechanics.
