Well, Dragon Ball Super recently had an example with Kale in Episode 93:
After accidentally awakening Kale's Super Saiyan Berserker form, Cabba desperately has to defend himself against her bloodthirst. At one point, after blocking SSJB Kale's furry of blows, he tries to retaliate with a strong punch into her chest. It doesn't help in the slightest, leaving him open to a fully charged counterattack.
Hey folks! I am doing a grad project on various representations of physical power/strength/resilience in media. The scope is specific to portrayal of women and how invulnerability to things like body blows etc are portrayed, the role of size/build/physique etc etc. Does anyone have good examples of the Punch Punch Punch Oh Oh trope where the female character is the invulnerable/no sell? I'm in the early phases so all and any are helpful! I'll be combing through source material and would love to keep those interested updated. I chose Anime, but am interested in all mediums since there wasnt a select all option.
