Personally, I'd give it a few more days, but you're probably okay just doing it now.
Wrestler, bodybuilder. No hopes, no dreams.Thanks. I was afraid just because Mary Sue is in the title. This would be inappropriate.
Edited by loracarol Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love.Well, my concern is that the proposal doesn't have a whole lot of replies and only a few examples were contributed by other tropers. I don't think the matter of it being "appropriate" or not really enters into it.
Wrestler, bodybuilder. No hopes, no dreams.oh I see. It's ok I think your advice was great I will give it more time.
Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love.We do not need more Mary Sue tropes. Seriously. This is far from the first time that someone has proposed a "Looks like a Mary Sue but isn't" or "Deconstructs the Mary Sue" trope, and the point seems to be to find characters that exhibit some Mary Sue traits but aren't bad or flat characters. Even if it is a deconstruction rather than being just not a Mary Sue, it's not worthy of a separate trope.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Is it ok a trope that deconstructs Common Mary Sue Traits but not marysue themselves ?
Edited by FallenLegend Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love. Why not just label that a deconstruction? That's a valid method of Playing with a Trope. Why make a separate trope just for that?
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Ok you are right. Thanks for the help I already discarded it

Can I lauch this trope? Basically is a trope about characters that deconstruct Common Mary Sue Traits. But aren't Mary Sues themselves.
Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask.But I was wondering if you guys think If it would be appropiate for me to launch that trope.
Mary Sue tends to be a very controversial concept. As such there is a risk people will misinterpret my intentions. (I have already had this problem before). And I don't want to waste the time of Trope Repair Shop people.
If you guys think is inappropiate I will discard it.
