I know pretty much nothing about art, but my suggestion would be to merge the individual artwork's page with the series page until such time as it has enough tropes to stand on its own. I'd also suggest redirecting the names of the individual artworks to the series pages.
Obviously, not a mod can't give blanket permission blah blah blah but your proposals sound perfectly sensible to me.

I'd merge the individual pages into the series page. Series are usually tied together by a similar theme, subject, style, etc. anyways so a lot of the same tropes would be on all of the individual pages.
This to me is not that different from a TV series and its episodes. The main page is for the entire series but we do have recap pages for individual episodes mainly to avoid the main page list from getting overly long.
ETA: And if a particular work from the series is more famous than the rest, you can always turn that specific work's name into a redirect to the series name if people are more likely to search for that work than the series itself.

I have made an “art series” page, as I found it was easier to trope the shared themes (and in this case, since it has one, narrative): Marie de' Medici Cycle. It would be good for paintings since they don’t have a lot of tropes. +1 to idea

- Launch the art series page.
- Include all the tropes from the individual artwork page to the series page.
- Turn the individual artwork page into a redirect.
Sounds good to me. Do you intend to make all of the works into redirects or just the existing pages?
Well, the Water Nymphs one would need redirects for all six paintings because there are already some red links to some of them.
For the other two, I think just redirecting the existing pages would suffice.

I was collecting examples for some artwork pages when I realized that some of them belonged to a series of artworks. Think of it like a song and the album it belongs to.
I'm talking about these three cases:
I want to create separate work pages for the whole series so it's easier to collect tropes (most of the artwork pages are starving).
My question is whether should I, for example, merge the individual artwork's page with the series' page.
I apologize if this is not the right place to discuss this, I wasn't sure where to bring up this issue and I'm pretty sure I need consensus before merging pages.
