Close enough to an edit war that it's worth notifying them about it—they seem pretty committed to reverting anything that would suggest any level of roguelike-ness, although the sticking point seems to be the ever in-flux definition of a roguelite (which seems to generally be meta-progression and RNG per run, which it does cover). Anyway, I don't think an edit war requires adding and removing the exact same point verbatim, and it'd qualify otherwise.

The language on Edit War does imply it doesn't have to be reversion to exact same text. This is clearly a war over where it's a "rougelike" or not and arguing in edit reasons instead of the proper venues.

Then it's definitely an edit war, not sure what the question is? Correctness doesn't make something not an edit war; as the page even says, using an edit reason doesn't make it not count.

Another mod already suspended them for edit warring.
Yeah, what matters here is that the person is trying to push their views onto the page with back and forth edits with other users instead of resolving the issue with discussion.
