When the example says "it was largely acclaimed ...", then it's not an example of Dork Age. The Too Bleak, Stopped Caring one is just a shoehorned in complaint (the first one is too).

The series does ultimately go in a direction that definitely soured a lot of people on it regarding it's handling of the character of Ben Reiley, but it's still really not enough to qualify for Too Bleak, Stopped Caring. It only really goes full throttle in that direction in the tail-end too which doesn't really qualify it for Audience-Alienating Era too. imo the Uncertain Audience entry on the page is a fairer assessment that does highlight the overall problems people had with it.
