It's shooting out of his hand. The trope says that hand counts for Hand Blast, so, yes.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickSo, what about later Ultra Series heroes that shoot... out of their arms? Their pose is like Ultraman's in that picture, except the left arm is lowered so the left hand is underneath the right elbow. Like in this picture.◊ Also, there's Ultraseven, who shoots a beam attack that's comes from both his arm and hand.◊ *
Edited by ThatHuman somethingProbably passable. Go ahead and add them, if someone disagrees and removes one, you can discuss or decide that's an answer.
Tropes Are Flexible. Hand Blast should be able to handle side of hand, arm etc.
"You want to see how a human dies? At ramming speed." - Emily Wong.Okay, one specific example I wanna ask about: Ultraman Tiga's Delacium Sphere. It launches from his hand, but the blast is not emanating or radiating from it. Rather, he summons a fireball,◊ and throwing the fireball turns it into a beam of fire.◊ Will that count? Launching from his hand, but the blast doesn't shoot from within the hand.
Edited by ThatHuman somethingAgain Tropes Are Flexible. When in doubt, go ahead and add it if it seems ok — if someone disputes it you can talk it out on the discussion page.
Question: Does Ultraman's Specium Ray count as a Hand Blast? It's not from his fist or fingertips, but from the side of his hand. See the page image.◊ It shoots from his right hand in that pose.
