openStock piece of music used in children's ads.
I've heard this stock music used in many kids' ads before from the 90's and would like to know the name of it. Here are two ads that use it: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6cj2EuZVWow http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ceXI3kO_LVY
openBlue hippo Kids Cartoon Western Animation
I've been trying to remember a children's cartoon show for years, but I remember very few details. If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it
From what I remember the theme song had lyrics that went, "It's a 'mumbo jumbo' (not entirely sure about those two words) day and anything can happen!" The animation shown during the theme song consisted of a blue (possibly light blue) hippopotamus and his daily adventures with his friends ( a duck is all I remember). During the theme song the blue hippo attempts to inflate a balloon and in the process his face gets all red. And at the end of the theme song, where the lyrics I remember come into play, they watch the sunset.
In an episode I remember, the hippo was showing his friends a magic trick where he rips a napkin, but the trick was that he had wet his hands before attempting to rip the napkin.
That is all I can remember. This is the first time using this site so if anyone has any idea of what the show may be, I will definitely remember if i could find the title and search for a picture or a scene, scouring the internet for a blue hippo hasn't proved fruitful at all.
If any results are found, please email me at noahbarto@hotmail.com

openEarly 2000s pc wizard duel game Videogame
You would duel one on one with other wizards using spells and summons. To learn new spells, you would have to beat challenges for each new spell/summon. I think one of the spells was called “engulfing flame” which did fixed damage, and there was a summon that was a turtle. When you activated a spell, the wizard would shout out it’s name. The duel field (I think) had multiple lanes, so you could send summons down different lanes to reach the other wizard to damage them. The summons would walk toward the opponent wizard, and if they reached them they would do damage. If 2 summons reached each other, they would fight. The turtle was so low to the ground that it would go under some spells. So there were spells that would travel mid height, low height, and high height. You could launch spells to attack the opponent’s summons. The art style was 3d isometric, and the camera stayed static. I wish I could remember more, but I never got very far in the game (it was too hard for me at the time).
openSesame Street World Website
I used to visit this website when I was younger, maybe 7 or 8 years ago. I believe there was a link to it on Sesame Street's website, but I'm not entirely sure. It's main premise dealt with exploring Earth if I'm not mistaken. The 'mascot' of the website was furry and green. I'm not sure this is much to go on, or even if this is the right place to ask this. I couldn't think of anywhere else. I would be extremely happy if someone could help me find this.
open90s-2000s Animated Movie or TV show about a kid and a toy spaceship
Recently had a flashback about an animated show/movie (can't remember which) where there was a young boy who had a toy spaceship. I feel like he found it or got it as a gift. He went on adventures with the ship and some action figure characters, though I can't remember what they were...for some reason Penguins come to mind, At one point, I remember a part where he was staring at the wall out of boredom. I know it's vague, but that's all I got.
Edited by JackCrowopen1) POW saves children from grenade - SOLVED and 2) female western settler killed by arrow Film
Two moments of nightmare fuel from my childhood. I saw both of these on British TV somewhere between the late 70s to mid 80s.
1) A World War II film, in colour, probably from the 1960s or early 1970s. A group of German or Italian Prisoners of War are being marched along a road escorted by Allied soldiers (I can't remember whether they were British or American). I remember trees on the far side of the road. They come across a group of children playing with a grenade. One of the POWs breaks out of the ranks, picks up the grenade, runs out of frame and you hear the grenade explode. It's possible I may have it the wrong way round and it's Allied POWs guarded by Axis soldiers.
2) A Western, again in colour, possibly from the 1950s or 60s. A group of settlers in a wagon train have stopped for the night. Native Americans attack, the first you know of this being one of the female settlers getting an arrow straight through the heart. It was so sudden and unexpected I remember finding it quite upsetting.
Edited by AspectiferopenBurning Coran story
There's a probably apocryphal story about a warlord burning a library, using some rather iffy logic: "If the books are copies of the Coran, they are redundant, and must be burned. If they are not the Coran, they are full of lies, and must be burned."
Anyone know where it's from?
Edited by Chabal2openYoung Adult Sci-Fi with Kids "Flying" in Low G Moon Tunnels Literature
I thought this was Heinlein but can't find it in a list of his young adult novels. This is a young adult book set on the moon in the future where there are tunnels in low gravity where if you jump from a high place, you can "fly" down. This is done as a sport. There is a girl who is really good at it, and the protagonist is a boy interested in the girl, and he starts learning the sport. Anyone know this one?

openLooking for a short story about a fat man and an AutoDoc. Literature
I once read a short story online which had a couple of rather fat people getting their hands on a modified Auto Doc and using it to try and make themselves into physical definitions of Heroic Build and Most Common Superpower only for it to go horribly wrong. I also remember that the male worked as a call centre worker for a medical company. Can someone tell me the name or link to it?
openA story about a 'disabled pagan Hispanic lesbian' ? Literature
Does such a story exist? As said here?
"disabled pagan Hispanic lesbian who is mistreated by everyone, until she heroically gets so beat up she wins"
Edited by MaladyopenSome book (or books) I read many years ago. Literature
There was a book I read when I was about ten years old. My memories about it are very vague but I do remember that the story was told from the perspective of at least two characters. The first was defenitely a young boy/teenager who had to deliver a package or letter to someone who lived in a very creepy apartment. The other character was a mysterious girl/woman the same age as the boy, or older. From what I can remember she wore a white coat and sunglasses.
Another thing I remember is that the main character lives in the sewers and has a talking book, though this may be from another book I read around the same time. I think I only read the first half of the book, anyway.
What book is this? Any help would be much appreciated.

openSisterhood of Nine
I discovered it's alleged existence in Soldiers of Love, but TV Tropes doesn't have a page on it. From what little I can discover, it has characters named Elizabeth, Lindsay, Helen, Leanne, and Rebecca, all of who are members of said Sisterhood. But without knowing whether it's an animé, comic, film, TV series, cartoon, video game, visual novel, or something else, I can't even confirm that it's even REAL, since "Sisterhood of Nine" is too generic a term for search engines.
openKids Tv Show Live Action TV
Not animated. Blonde girl and family in Africa. In one episode there's a bull shark in the river. They think she's lying about it and is just scared to swim. Possibly was on Disney. Thinking 2000s, maybe 2010/2011.
openIt feels like an anime...
I know it had something to do with an organization of sorts with leaders/teachers/mentors or something. When the new recruits/students/employees arrive they perform/show off their skills and the leaders/teachers/mentors take turns choosing their protege/partner/student. The turns were taken by who had the most successful student the year/period before. There was this one leader with a reputation for raising/training the best student every year/period, and she (I'm pretty sure that it's a she) always took the first turn at picking her student, which was always the one with greater potential. The story takes place when the leader that always comes second (pretty sure it was also a she) jokingly recommends number 1 to take a student that will serve more of a challenge. Number 1 accepts, much to everyone's surprise, and chooses the lowest ranking student (most definitely a he, and I'm think he might've been clumsy). I'm almost completely sure that they, with time, fall in love with each other (I may be horribly wrong here).
This feels like a series because I don't think all the plot would fit in a movie. And I'm almost sure it's an anime and/or manga.
openNES Game? Videogame
I only have a very vague memory of this. When I was a very small child, (circa 1993-5 don't remember date) there was a NES game that my dad and brothers played. I remember it didn't look like Aladdin and it was a magic carpet game in third person, (but the view was of the pc's back and whatever was in front of the carpet). I don't know if the game came out in the early 90s or late 80s or what but I'm almost certain it was on NES. Any ideas?
I remember watching this show in school 2 or 3 years ago, but I don't think it was educational. I believe it was on Netflix. I wasn't paying attention, but from what I remember, it was about a group of teenagers who got sent back in time in a car. I don't remember exactly what decade they got sent back to, but I think it might have been the 1950s. I believe the kids were actually from the 1990s. I'm pretty sure the show was in English. I watched it in Spanish class though, so I could be wrong. I remember that music was featured somewhat in the show. I don't remember much else, as we only watched the pilot.
